A home has to be understood as a whole. The orientation and layout matter, alongside the physical conditions, how the spaces are used and what the family wants the home to support.
For a new home, I begin with the proposed arrangement and the choices still open in the drawings. For an existing property, I look at what is present today, including previous changes and remedies.
My approach places diagnosis before remedies. I want the owner to understand the basis of a recommendation, the priorities it addresses and the questions that remain.
The MVDE Method provides the framework for this practice. It brings the available inputs, the relevant interpretation and the next decision into a connected explanation.
