BEFORE THE NEXT DRAWING

Your family’s home.
Many decisions.
One plan to consider.

A home plan brings together how your family wants to live, what the site allows and what your architect is developing. If Vastu matters to you, its questions need a place in that discussion.

A general rule about a room or direction leaves much unresolved. Which drawing is current? What establishes north? How will the space be used? Which choices are already fixed?

The Private Blueprint Review considers the proposed layout, orientation, intended uses and constraints together. Its written brief gives you observations and priorities you can discuss while relevant choices remain open.

Make the reasoning clear enough
to inform the next decision.

A SMALL EXAMPLE. AN IMPORTANT QUESTION.

Before a directional recommendation,
agree the reference.

Imagine the site plan and floor drawing show different north references. A room could be mapped differently depending on which drawing is used.

The first useful step is to resolve that discrepancy. The review records what needs confirmation and which drawing version will form the basis for assessment.

This illustrates the kind of reasoning you should be able to follow: the input, the observation, why it matters and the next question. It demonstrates a review process; it is not a client result.

First, establish a shared reference.

Input
Site plan and floor drawing.
Observation
The two drawings show different north references.
Why it matters
The orientation needs to be reconciled before relying on zone mapping.
Next step
Confirm the shared reference and record the drawing version used.

START WHERE YOUR PROJECT IS

The next decision sets the starting point.

We establish which site areas, buildings, floors and drawing versions can usefully be reviewed now.

01 · DEVELOPING THE BRIEF

Clarify what is needed.

If you have no drawings yet, begin with the property and your plans for it. We can clarify the information a meaningful review will require.

02 · WORKING THROUGH DRAWINGS

Examine the open choices.

Bring the current layout, intended room uses, family requirements and fixed constraints. Identify the decision you want to discuss next.

03 · CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY

Establish what remains possible.

Tell us what has been completed and what is still open. That helps determine whether planning review, diagnosis or a limited scope fits.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

A written review
you can return to.

The review examines the agreed property, orientation, layout, room uses, access and circulation in the context of your requirements. The brief makes its basis, findings and next steps understandable.

  1. 01

    The review basis

Which property areas, drawings and orientation reference were assessed, so everyone knows what the findings relate to.

  2. 02

    Annotated findings

Observations located on the plan, so you can connect each point to the part of the home being discussed.

  3. 03

    Choices worth retaining

Supportive aspects of the proposed arrangement. A useful review also identifies what can be kept.

  4. 04

    Explained priorities

Recommendations and their reasoning, helping you understand what deserves consideration and why.

  5. 05

    Questions still open

Inputs that need confirmation and decisions that depend on further information, made explicit in the record.

  6. 06

    A next-step sequence

What to discuss now and what depends on another decision, to give the next conversation a clear starting point.

Your proposal defines the included areas, outputs and findings discussion. Additional buildings, alternative concepts, coordination meetings and later drawing versions are included when agreed.

WITH YOUR DESIGN TEAM

A considered contribution
to your architect’s work.

Your architect develops the architectural design and drawings. TSV contributes documented Vastu observations, recommendations and questions that you can bring into that work.

If you would like your architect or an authorised family representative involved, mention this when you enquire. Participation, a coordination meeting and a check of revised plans can be included in the agreed scope.

Architectural, engineering and approval decisions remain with the relevant professionals. The Vastu review helps make one part of the wider project clearer.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE REVIEW

Begin with the property.
Explain the reasoning.

Ashish Kapoor is the founder of The Scientific Vastu™ and creator of the MVDE Method. His approach begins with the available information, the property’s context and the decision ahead.

For a home in planning, that means making the review basis and recommendations understandable enough to bring into your own design discussion.

FROM ENQUIRY TO REVIEW

First, agree what your project needs.

The fee and delivery arrangements depend on the property, drawing set, review scope and any coordination or further verification. They are agreed before paid work begins.

  1. 01

    Share the context

Your city, property type, project stage and next decision. Mention any approaching design milestone.

  2. 02

    Discuss the scope

Clarify suitability, the areas and drawings involved, required inputs, fee and delivery arrangements.

  3. 03

    Agree the proposal

The written proposal identifies the included work, outputs, payment terms and how the review will proceed.

  4. 04

    Begin the review

After agreement and the required payment, the detailed inputs are checked and the scoped assessment begins.

Start with the context.
Detailed plans can follow.

The usual review inputs are current dimensioned site and floor plans, dates or revision references, the orientation basis and intended room uses. Include fixed constraints and decisions still open.

You can begin with a short message. We clarify the exact inputs and sharing arrangements for your scope before you send detailed plans.

BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE

The practical questions.

Different properties need different scopes. These answers explain the starting point and what to agree for your project.

Can I enquire before I have drawings?

Yes. Share the city, type of home, stage and next decision. We can clarify what information a meaningful review will need. Detailed assessment depends on suitable inputs.

Can you review a villa or estate with several buildings?

Yes, subject to an agreed scope. Identify each building, floor and relevant site area so the proposal is clear about what is included. Additional buildings are not automatically part of a single review.

Can you create the architectural plans?

The service provides Vastu review and recommendations. Your architect or design team prepares the architectural drawings and resolves the relevant technical requirements.

Can you check the plans after my architect revises them?

A revised-plan check can be separately scoped. It compares the agreed revised set with the recorded findings: what has been addressed, what remains open and any relevant new question. Later versions and coordination meetings need to be agreed.

Will every finding require a change?

The review may identify supportive choices to retain, matters to verify and options to reconsider. Recommendations depend on the actual inputs and project constraints.

What if construction has already started?

Tell us what has been completed and which decisions remain open. We will assess whether planning review, existing-property diagnosis or a more limited scope is appropriate.

Do you review apartments or interior layouts?

Share the project context and the parts you can influence. An apartment or interior-layout review has a different scope from a review of an entire building or site.

Can the review happen online, or is a visit included?

Online reviews are available across India. Suitability, site visits and any further verification are agreed for your property. A visit is not automatically included in every engagement.

What will it cost, and how long will it take?

The fee and delivery schedule depend on the property, drawings, review scope and any coordination or further verification required. They are agreed before paid work begins. Please mention any approaching project milestone in your enquiry.

Do I need to send private plans in the first message?

Begin with the city, property type, stage and question you want reviewed. Detailed plans can follow once their purpose, the review scope and sharing arrangements are clear. See the enquiry and privacy information.

YOUR NEXT DESIGN DISCUSSION

Bring a clear question.
Leave room for a considered decision.

Tell us where you are building, which stage you have reached and what you need to decide next. We will clarify whether a Private Blueprint Review fits, which plans are needed and the fee for that scope.

P.S. If your architect is preparing the next drawing, tell us which choices are still open. That is the most useful place to begin.
